What is a subject pronoun?
A subject pronoun is a word in a sentence.
Which word?
It is the word that refers to the person that is doing the action in the sentence.
For example, in the sentence ‘I like apples’, ‘I’ is the subject pronoun.
In the sentence ‘she goes to school’, ‘she’ is the subject pronoun.
In the sentence ‘they eat bread’, ‘they’ is the subject pronoun.
It is whoever does the action in the sentence.

So, the subject pronouns in English are I, You, He, She, It, We, You and They.
We use them in front of a verb to tell us who is doing the action.
Now, let’s take a closer look at our chart of subject pronouns: “I” is used when you talk about yourself; “You” is for addressing one person or even more; “He” refers to a male person; “She” refers to a female person; “It” is used for animals, things, or places; “We” refers to a group including yourself; “You” again can be used when speaking to a group; and “They” is used for talking about a group of people or things.
